With dual specialist fellowships in Australia and the United Kingdom, Dr Iyer brings deep international clinical insight, academic rigor, and compassionate leadership to complex rehabilitation challenges.

Clinical Leadership & Hospital Appointments

Dr Iyer provides comprehensive inpatient, day-program, and outpatient rehabilitation medicine across key private healthcare facilities in South East Queensland:

    Director of Rehabilitation Services at Sunnybank Private Hospital: leading dedicated inpatient rehabilitation wards and comprehensive day-hospital programs. In this executive clinical capacity, she directs multidisciplinary teams (physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, dieticians, and specialized nursing staff) delivering rigorous, evidence-based care.Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) at Mater Private Hospital Redlands: providing specialist rehabilitation consultations, post-acute care coordination, and restorative medical oversight for surgical and medical inpatients across the Redlands and Bayside community.

Her practice bridges the continuum between acute hospital admission, structured inpatient rehabilitation, and long-term community reintegration.

Alongside active clinical practice, Dr Iyer is deeply committed to medical education and clinical scholarship:

    Lecturer at The University of Queensland: involved in clinical teaching, curriculum delivery, and physician training within the Faculty of Medicine.Published Medical Author: Dr Iyer has authored two clinical textbooks used by candidates worldwide, Clinical Examination Skills for the MRCP Exam and MRCP PACES: The Answers Revealed.Peer-Reviewed Publications: Dr Iyer has published across multiple peer-reviewed medical journals in clinical research and diagnostic literature.
